James Cropper plc is a paper manufacturer with two retail businesses: The Paper Mill Shop which is a chain of 24 stores selling paper, card and craft accessories and an online business which sells inkjet photopaper.

Real TSP won a competitive tender to provide a second generation e-commerce solution that combined the existing websites of these two businesses as www.papermilldirect.co.uk. With the aim of growing online turnover five-fold within 3 years, James Cropper plc needed a technology platform capable of permitting this level of growth while minimising the level of day-to-day administration required. It also needed to be integrated with the Navision system used by the business, and to accommodate the specific needs of trade customers for the photographic paper business.

The site went live in April 2009 and achieved higher turnover in its first 6 months than had been achieved in the previous full year.
